USC Remains Unbeaten

JuJu Watkins and No. 3 Southern California remained unbeaten Saturday night, thrashing Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 52-14 in a game that was never in doubt.

Watkins, a sophomore wide receiver, caught three touchdown passes from quarterback Jaxson Dart as the Trojans (2-0) rolled to their second straight victory.

Watkins Continues to Impress

Watkins, who had six receptions for 122 yards, has now caught a touchdown pass in each of USC's first two games.

Dart completed 17 of 25 passes for 249 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Travis Dye added 114 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Trojans.

Trojans' Defense Dominates

The Trojans' defense was equally impressive, holding Cal Poly (0-2) to just 212 yards of total offense.

Linebacker Ralen Goforth had a team-high eight tackles for USC, which forced three turnovers.

Cal Poly Struggles

Cal Poly was led by quarterback Jake Constantine, who completed 16 of 28 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown.

Running back Kori Garcia added 63 yards rushing for the Mustangs, who were making their first appearance at the FBS level since 2016.

What's Next?

USC will face Fresno State next Saturday at home, while Cal Poly will host Colgate.
