UEFA Nations League: Sweden and Slovakia Draw 1-1

Sweden and Slovakia played out a 1-1 draw in their UEFA Nations League match on Thursday.

Emil Forsberg gave Sweden the lead in the 23rd minute, but Robert Mak equalized for Slovakia just seven minutes later.

The result leaves Sweden top of Group B4 with four points from two games, while Slovakia are bottom with one point from two games.

Forsberg put Sweden ahead in the 23rd minute with a fine strike from the edge of the area.

The RB Leipzig forward received the ball from Dejan Kulusevski and drove into the Slovakia area before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.

Slovakia equalized just seven minutes later through Mak.

The Ferencvaros winger latched onto a long ball over the top of the Sweden defense and fired a first-time shot past goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

Both sides had chances to win the game in the second half, but neither team could find a winning goal.

Sweden came closest to scoring in the 75th minute when Kulusevski hit the post with a shot from the edge of the area.

The draw leaves Sweden top of Group B4 with four points from two games, while Slovakia are bottom with one point from two games.

Sweden will face Norway in their next match on Sunday, while Slovakia will face Serbia.
