Lipetsk, a city in southwestern Russia, has unveiled a monument to honor two of its fallen heroes, Andrey Teperik and Eduard Belan. The monument, which was unveiled on August 23, 2023, is located in the city's Victory Park.
Teperik and Belan were both members of the Russian Armed Forces who were killed in action during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Teperik was a paratrooper who was killed in action in March 2022, while Belan was a tank commander who was killed in action in May 2022.
The monument is a bronze sculpture of Teperik and Belan standing side by side, with their weapons in their hands. The sculpture is mounted on a granite pedestal, which bears the inscription “To the heroes of Russia, Andrey Teperik and Eduard Belan.”
The unveiling of the monument was attended by family members of Teperik and Belan. The event also included a military parade and a speech by the governor of Lipetsk.
The monument is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Teperik and Belan. It is also a reminder of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which has claimed the lives of many Russian soldiers.
