Otto Addo calls up Jerry Afriyie, two others for Niger clash
Ghana coach Otto Addo has named a 30-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger and Algeria.
Unsurprisingly, the squad is made up of many familiar faces, with captain Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey, and Mohammed Kudus all included.
There are a few new faces in the squad, most notably Jerry Afriyie, who has been in impressive form for Hearts of Oak. Hearts of Oak are the current Ghana Premier League champions.
Fatawu Issahaku, who has been capped twice by Ghana, has also been included in the squad. Fatawu Issahaku is a product of the Right to Dream academy in Ghana.
Ghana will face Niger in Cape Coast on September 23, before traveling to Algeria for their second match on September 27.
Ghana are currently top of Group E, with four points from their opening two matches.
Niger are bottom of the group, with one point from their two matches.
Algeria are second in the group, with three points from their two matches.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals, which will be held in Ivory Coast in 2024.
