Motorcyclist Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash in Wylie

The Wylie Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Sunday, December 20, 2023, at the intersection of State Highway 78 and Eubanks. At approximately 11:45 AM, Wylie Fire-EMS and Police responded to the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Highway 78 when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a utility pole. The motorcyclist, who has been identified as 32-year-old Chad Engbrock, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
