Matschies Tree-Kangaroos Arrive in Style
Get ready to witness the arrival of three adorable and endangered Matschies tree kangaroos, also known as Huon tree-kangaroos, at the Safari Park. These incredible creatures, hailing from the lush rainforests of Papua New Guinea, have made the park their new home. Sadly, all tree kangaroo species native to West Papua and Papua New Guinea are classified as vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered.
Meet our new residents: a mother named Mai, her joey named Numu, and an adult male named Wapi. Together, they will join our dedicated team of conservationists in the ongoing mission to protect and preserve these remarkable animals.
