The Las Vegas Valley Humane Society (LVVHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals in the Las Vegas Valley. Unlike many animal shelters, LVVHS does not operate a physical shelter. Instead, they rely on a network of volunteer fosters to provide temporary care for animals in need.

The LVVHS volunteer foster program is a vital part of their mission to help animals. The fosters provide temporary homes for animals who have been rescued from neglect or abandonment, injured, or orphaned. The fosters care for the animals until they are healthy and ready to be adopted into permanent homes.
