Reporting Animal Cruelty and Neglect
If you witness animal cruelty, including neglect or abandonment, it is your duty to report it. You can do this by phone or online. Urgent cases require immediate attention. If an animal is seriously injured, ill, or trapped, please report it immediately.
Animal Welfare Standards
Animal welfare laws in Queensland, outlined in the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001, aim to protect animals from cruelty, duty of care violations, and abandonment. These laws apply to all animals, including livestock.
Reporting Concerns
If you suspect animal cruelty or neglect, or if you believe animals are not being cared for properly, you should report it. You can do this by:
