Service Animals Welcomed on Cruise Ships

Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Cruise Line welcomes service dogs on all of its ships. In addition, the cruise line offers a variety of accessible features and services for guests with disabilities, including wheelchair-accessible cabins and ramps, sign language interpreters, and closed captioning for movies and television shows. Guests with disabilities can also request assistance from the ship's crew with boarding, disembarking, and getting around the ship.

Royal Caribbean Cruises

Royal Caribbean Cruises also allows service dogs on all of its ships. However, the cruise line does not allow pets on board. Guests who wish to bring their service dog on a Royal Caribbean cruise must provide proof of the dog's training and vaccinations. Service dogs must also be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed in certain areas of the ship, such as the dining room and the pool.

Other Cruise Lines

Other cruise lines have varying policies regarding service animals. Some cruise lines, such as Disney Cruise Line and Norwegian Cruise Line, allow service animals on all of their ships. Other cruise lines, such as Holland America Line and Princess Cruises, only allow service animals on certain ships. Guests who are planning to travel with a service animal should contact the cruise line directly to inquire about its specific policies.
